Purpose of the Catalogue
The QTOOA Public Domain Literature Library is a curated collection of public-domain books, selected to offer readers a coherent and accessible entry into classic sea literature. The catalogue is not a comprehensive archive but a focused selection intended to highlight works of literary interest, historical significance, and enduring readability.
Scope and Selection
The library contains 95 books, primarily in English, sourced from Project Gutenberg. Selection is based on the presence of maritime themes—sea voyages, pirate adventures, shipwrecks, and nautical life—and on the quality of the text as represented by existing metadata and catalogue notes. No work has been excluded for its content or style; rather, the selection reflects the editor's interest in narrative voice and structural variety.
Source Attribution
All books are from Project Gutenberg, a reliable source of public-domain texts. Each record includes the publisher (Project Gutenberg) and, where available, the original publication date. No claim is made for the completeness or accuracy of the text beyond what Project Gutenberg provides.
